CS Week 9

A creativity in Art Design and Multimedia

Today is Mr.Yap's last lecture in this trimester and I am very entertained with the way he's teaching today. (honestly, I'm not boring)

Art? What is actually an art?

Art is something that we created to express thing we couldn't expressed with words of mouth. There are a lots of things that we can call art.

Design?
A design of the art. What is the artists are trying to tell the world with his art, through his design.

Multimedia?
It is a combination of different type of media - sounds, video, graphic, text and animation.

3d Street Art, often known as 3d chalk art is 2-dimensional artwork drawn on the street itself that gives you a 3-dimensional optical illusion from a certain perspective. It can be very breathtaking, realistic and at the same time could be very amazing, if you get the angle correct. And creating one is certainly tough and challenging as you are creating a realistic 3d view out of a 2d painting.

a really realistic cup of coffee.

down the river! with an alligator waiting..

the water look so real isn't it?

CS Week 7

This week lecture teaches by Mr Radzi is very amazing. We are being asked to pick up a number range from 00 - 99 and drew a picture of what we pick off, and then create a short line of words for the picture.

1) an aero-tree. I drew it according to the body of an aeroplane.
2) a rainy flower.
3) an oily rain. Beware, as it could lit a fire.

1) From the picture above, I pick up a lion and a pig. Mr Radzi asked us to combined both of the animals, and tell the class, why the combined animal is a failure?

My answer is that, LION is very hardworking animal, they caught, they bite their preys to survive while PIG, eat its own excrement thus it can be deem as failure creature.

2) Create a passage/writing that describe the concept of love. Using chilli.

Chili is hot,
   Just like love,
Too much spicy,
   Your love get burn.

Create a poem about mortar and pestle.

Women is pestle,

CS Week 5

Invention - Innovation

Not all inventions bring innovation.

http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/tech/article/japans-gadget-failures-the-futures-that-never-happened/
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20400239

From what I can see in the article, an invention doesn't necessarily can become innovation. It takes a great efforts and times for something old to become something new. The innovator that failed, they usually comes with a lots of idea and would like to put all of it into one innovation and from my opinion, this is one of the reason why they failed.

I would like to share the old picture of military weapon that failed to fulfilling its purpose.

Scooter-Mounted-Cannon

The weapon ( or motorcycle? ) in the picture above is called scooter-mounted-cannon. The idea comes from the French military when they lack of money to provide more advanced equipment. The scooter-mounted cannon was a scooter like vehicle that held a 75 mm cannon. The vehicle was mainly used by the military during the 1950s. However, it’s safe to say that this innovation did not last long, as what we can see in the picture, it did not give any sort of protection to the rider.

CS Week 4

Historical Examination Of Creativity

What traits make them creative?

There a several countries that developed from creativity and one of it is China and one of the creativity that I would like to write about is The Great Wall of China.

Uniqueness of The Great Wall of China are:

  • The measure of the wall is 8,850 km
  • It is one of the 7 wonders in the world.
  • Built to protect the Chinese Empire during the ancient times.
  • As a defence barrier during war.
Process Of Creativity:

The Great Wall of China was, in the beginning, not meant to fence in all of the empire. It started with several spattering of walls between the Warring States meant to fortify each of their defences. Thousand of worker ( most of them are war prisoner, civilians) are needed to completed the wall during those times. Although it was started in the previous dynasty and completed two dynasties hence, it became the “great wall” because of the unifying intent incorporated into it by the Qin Dynasty.
